SmartVentilation's Type II Filter Retrofit Kit (MERV 13)

Replaces the homemade filters (MERV 2-4) that require hand washing every 60-90 days.

Installs over 3" to 6" round air intake port in concrete or wood fram construction. Type II filter box is of heavy gauge aluminum finished with a white, baked, powdercoat finish for 10-15 year durability. May be painted. Filter life is 24-48  months. Filter material removes PM2.5, soot, wildfire smoke, viruses, bacteria, blue green algae and red tide neurotoxins,, pollen, mold spores, valley fever spores, airborne ash particles. Includes gasket material, stainless steel fasteners and plastic mollies. Easily installed over round 4-6" air intake ports  Filter will trap radioactive particles and become radioactive. It must be promptly disposed of in a sealed container and  hands carefully washed after service. Flows 20-200 cfm.  It is an ideal pre filter for ERVs, HRVs, and Ventilating Dehumidifiers to extend periods between filter service from every 60-90 days to 24-36 months.
